Telemedicine Appointment Information
The health and safety of our patients and staff is of utmost importance to us.
During the novel coronavirus pandemic it is recommended that social contact be limited (aka “social distancing”). This can be difficult at times when face to face contact between a healthcare provider and patient is important.
Aspire Family Medicine providers will be utilizing telemedicine technology during the coronavirus pandemic to limit direct person to person contact and potential spread of coronavirus in our community.
When you schedule an appointment, you may be asked to participate in a telemedicine visit. Here is how it will work:
INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR TELEMEDICINE APPOINTMENT
1.) PREPARE FOR YOUR VISIT
To prepare for your visit, you will need to plan on having direct access to a PC or Mac with an internet connection OR an iPad, iPhone, or Android that is connected to the internet. iPhone and Android devices that are connected to a 4G or higher cellular data network can work as well but have less reliable connections. Note that use of cellular data network for video conferencing may cause you to incur extra charges from your cellular phone carrier.
It is best to be in an area of your home or elsewhere that is private during the appointment. Being at your desk at work, in a coffee shop or another public space during your appointment will not provide you the privacy you may desire.
If using an PC or Mac, you need to make sure you have a webcam and a microphone that work on your computer. You can go to webcammictest.com to test your microphone and camera to make sure they do work properly. If for some reason your webcam or microphone do not work, please use another device or your appointment will have to be rescheduled.
2.) MEETING INFORMATION: On the day of your appointment, you will get a email address noted in your medical record with your Meeting URL/Website. You will need this for your appointment. Please make sure you check your spam folder for this email.
3.) AT YOUR APPOINTMENT: Make sure you are connected to the internet. A few minutes prior to your appointment, click on the Meeting URL using your phone/device/computer. This will open the link in your web browser.
Please note:
FOR IPHONE and IPAD - Please use Safari web browser
FOR ANDROID device - Please use Chrome web browser
4.) If the provider does not join the meeting within 10 minutes of your appointment time, please call our office at 303-835-9915.
If you have any difficulty preparing your computer or device prior to your appointment, please contact our office.
